Mission Statement

Joy Bible Study endeavors to enrich women’s lives with the simple truths of the Bible. 

By means of in-depth, disciplined Bible studies, Joy aims to produce positive changes in a woman’s life evidenced by: a first-time commitment to Jesus Christ, a continuing walk with the Lord and a maturing in her understanding of God’s Word and Christ’s purpose for her life. Fellowship with other members is important in nurturing a concern for sharing the abundant life in Christ. Joy’s mission is to present each woman with the real and caring person of Jesus Christ, to grow in discipleship to Him, and to live in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Joy is interdenominational in nature and welcomes women of all faiths. Items of dispute among denominations are not approached dogmatically. We come together under the umbrella of Scripture and seek what the Bible can teach us. Controversial topics or divisive issues are avoided as they tend to polarize groups and pull us away from what we have in common, namely Jesus.
